Well, at a little event called the Super Bowl, Rihanna made a mighty comeback during the halftime show on February 12, 2023. After a brief hiatus from live performances, lasting a mere half a decade, she decided the Super Bowl was an appropriate stage for her return.

Naturally, it was a low-key affair, only becoming the most-watched halftime show of all time with over 115 million viewers. Chris Richards of The Washington Post said she made the "biggest show of her life look easy," which is just what you'd expect from someone who turned down the gig back in 2019. A triumphant return, indeed.
