What happened?

March 2023, when the Academy Awards decided to hand out a few statuettes, and "Everything Everywhere All at Once" hoarded seven of them, including the trifling title of Best Picture. It was the first science fiction film to ever win that not-so-easy-to-get award. The film led with a whopping 11 nominations, which was, you know, just a couple more than its peers.

And then what?

Michelle Yeoh became the first Asian woman to win Best Actress, and Ke Huy Quan the first Vietnamese person to snag an Oscar. All this under the watchful eye of the thrice-returning host, Jimmy Kimmel, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. A night of surprises and achievements that won't soon be forgotten
